Built on black soil plains, Dalby is produces some of the freshest, tastiest produce in Queensland. We strongly recommend checking out the following establishments while in town.

Ashtons Butchery
Be sure to check out their award-winning jerky. They locally source or make many of the items for sale in their shop and cure their own bacon and ham from 100% Australian pork. Yum.

Cuthbert Meats for paddock to plate farm fresh meat.
Most of the meat for sale at Cuthbert Meats is sourced from the family farm near Kogan. They offer a premium selection of hormone free beef, lamb and free-range pork. Plus bacon from Jimbour and Lamb from Jandowae.

Burando Downs
Burando Downs is a boutique garlic farm that produces a very high-quality product that is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Be sure to checkout their garlic jam for something a little bit different to take home as a souvenir of your trip to the Western Downs.

C’est Cheese on the Go
Nobody can ever say no to cheese. Check out the C’est Cheese on the Go food trailer for a wonderfully diverse selection of Australian cheeses. You will find it parked in the Thomas Jack Park Dalby from 3pm to Dark/6.30pm.

Butchers Pantry Coffee & Takeaway
For the best coffee in town, pop down to the Butchers Pantry and while you are there, check out their speciality antipasto platter. Featuring the best in local produce, you can preorder by giving them a call or pop in and say hi.

Urban Paddock
Set in historic Quambi House in Dalby, Urban Paddock Café is a family friendly all-day dining. Open daily until 5pm midweek or 2pm on weekends, you can dine in or Grab n Go for something to reheat back at the hotel. All rooms come with a microwave. Be sure to check out the fish specials locally sourced from the Condabilla Fish Farm.

Criterion Hotel
Craving a seriously good steak, then check out the Criterion Hotel. No matter whether you chose the Bistro, Beer Garden, Bar or Back Deck, you are guaranteed a good time at the Cri.

The Mighty Bean Coffees Dalby
